Pauline Bieringa has been managing director of Triodos Bank Nederland since September 2020. She grew up in Friesland, studied history in Groningen and the United States and completed her MBA at the Erasmus University. Pauline started her banking career withing ING Group, where she held several international positions in and outside the Netherlands. In 2004 she became director of public finance at BNG Bank. Besides that she was also supervisor at Hivos-Triodos Fund, Open University, KAS Bank and Stichting Berenschot Beheer for many years, and is involved in a number of initiatives related to help with debt problems.
Pauline is married; together with her husband (historian) she lives in The Hague.
